Christopher Andrews is director for Kroll Advisory Solutions.

He provides computer forensic, incident response and technology consulting services to Kroll clients. Andrews conducts forensic analysis, acquires and preserves computer media and performs data recovery on electronic media. In addition, he conducts investigations involving the analysis of electronic media for litigation and is often called upon to provide expert testimony.

 

Prior to joining Kroll, Andrews worked as a special agent with the Northern California Computer Crimes Task Force. He was also a District Attorney Investigator with the Humboldt County, California District Attorney’s Office. With over 18 years of law enforcement experience, Andrews brings to Kroll a broad range of abilities to respond to and solve critical client issues.

Professional Experience

Thought Leadership. Andrews is frequently asked to speak at national computer forensics conferences on topics related to digital forensics, including computer forensics and digital evidence destruction. Events include the Computer and Enterprise Investigations Conference (CEIC), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), the Conference on Digital Forensics, Security and Law (ADFSL), and Secure 360, the Minnesota Government IT Symposium.

Law Enforcement Forensic Examination. Andrews has assisted more than 40 law enforcement agencies with the seizure and forensic examination of computers and related storage media including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), US Secret Service, California Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement, and the California Department of Corrections.

Expert Witness Testimony. Andrews has assisted in trial preparation and testified as an expert witness on numerous occasions regarding the forensic collection and analysis of digital evidence.
