Profile: Linda I. Huang

Linda Huang is Managing Director at Kroll Advisory Solutions, where she works closely with corporate clients to provide solutions for a range of due diligence requirements.  Linda also oversees a global staff of experienced due diligence analysts, ensuring quality of service and timely delivery of products, and plays a key role in helping to develop due diligence products and services for clients worldwide.

In 1999 Linda joined Corporate Risk International which was later acquired by Altegrity, starting as a researcher; working on due diligence and special projects, including US and international subjects, the latter of which were mostly focused in Asia.  As a database manager, she was involved in creating and implementing in-house database research capabilities and processes.  Linda also played an integral role in starting the Hong Kong office and creating a range of due diligence products.  Prior to working with CRI, she was a reporter and editor with Gannett, focusing on education issues and business/financial matters, and an associate editor at Financial Times Energy.

Professional Experience

  • Database Research: As part of CRI’s global compliance research, analysts had to search 50-plus global databases individually to compile findings regarding international sanctions.  Linda helped to create a customized search engine that served as the predecessor to today’s proprietary search system that allows analysts to quickly and efficiently search all global compliance databases in just a few simple steps.
  • Report Content: Recognizing clients’ desires for public record information, Linda has helped direct content for CRI reports, with focus on including as many relevant and available database searches as possible in both US and international locations.  Linda also led efforts on companywide Intranet system that provides a central location for analysts to easily access links to all relevant databases.
  • Quality Control: To ensure that clients receive thorough reports in a timely manner, Linda helped to implement the current two-step, report-review process that includes copy editing and content review.  Reports are also reviewed and double-checked after-the-fact to ensure accuracy and depth of research.
